Hello, Friends. Okay, who am I kidding...Hello, Leah. :o)
So, this year will be a totally different Christmas. Alina's first Christmas was coming home from the hospital at 2 days old. What a fantastic gift she was!!! The best gift ever, for sure.
Last year, she had just turned one. Once the present opening commenced, she got the idea pretty quickly and started enjoying the gift giving. However, she was still too small to really start any traditions, or do Christmas activities.
So, here we are...she will be two on the 23rd...TWO!!!! I cannot believe it! And then POOF! Christmas will be here again. I think I blinked and these two years just happened. We put up our little fake tree, and I got her to start getting ornaments out with me. She asks us to turn on the tree each day. Today we decorated some sugar cookies together. Alina had some FUN with the sprinkles! Wow. No bare cookies at our house!
What are YOUR Christmas traditions? I am always curious to know what others do as we try to plan ours. Creativity is not one of my gifts. But, I would love for Alina to know and understand the real reason for this holiday...Jesus Christ!

I read too!! :) I can't believe you baby girl is 2!! Time flies! I remember going to the Biltmore with you guys before you were sharing your news... haha! :)
One of our traditions growing up (I've heard a lot of people do this), is that we got to open one present on Christmas Eve - usually pajamas. Then we would all have on new Christmasy pj's for Christmas morning! Hope you guys are doing great!!

Elf on the Shelf is something that we do with my niece and nephew. It is super cute - definitely look into it!
Missy, I read, too!=) See, now you have 3 more people than you thought! Since I don't have any kids, I'll share with you what we did with my family growing up. We would always go to church Christmas Eve and then come home and have some food, sit by the fire and Christmas tree and read the Christmas story. We would sometimes open one present, but the important thing was to always read the Christmas story and remember the reason for the season!
Oh my goodness! I have more than one reader?? WOW! I feel so special! You ladies just made my day! Haha. And I absolutely LOVE all of these ideas!!! Christmas traditions are so wonderful. You remember them your entire life. So, to know yours is special. We may have to try these for ourselves...if you dont' mind me "stealing" them, that is. I love you all!
